QRinse is a QR code and barcode scanner app published by codelaundry.io ("we", "us"). This page explains what information the app accesses and how it's handled.

The short version

QRinse does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data. There are no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no servers involved — everything the app does happens entirely on your device.

Camera and photo access

QRinse asks for camera access to scan QR codes and barcodes in real time, and for photo library access so you can scan a code from an existing image instead. Camera frames and photos you select are processed on-device only, to decode the code in view — they are never saved, uploaded, or shared anywhere by the app.

Scan history

Each time you scan a code, QRinse saves the result (the decoded text and its format) in a history list so you can find it again later. This history is stored only in your device's local app storage. It is never sent to us or to any third party, and it is removed if you delete the app or clear its data. You can also delete individual entries or clear your entire history from within the app at any time.

Third parties

QRinse does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services, and does not share data with any third party — because it does not collect any data to share in the first place.

Children's privacy

QRinse does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, since the app collects no data at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version of the app adds a feature that involves data leaving your device — we'll update this page and revise the date above.
